Are Your WordPress Plug-ins Updated?

The hackers normally get in through weakness's in your plug-ins. You must keep all your Word Press Plug-ins updated at all times.

These updates will fix holes that allow the hackers to access your site through what's called a back door. This "back door" allows hackers to install malicious code or viruses on your website. Once the code is on your site it can be very costly to remove.

Many updates will also fix or improve the overall function of your website. Sometimes the updates add new advanced features to Word Press or it's plug-ins. There is one problem, if you do not install the updates properly, they can sometimes break your website.

At the Computer Geek we receive many calls from people who have tried to do updates themselves and now have a non functional website. We can fix these broken websites but there is downtime and additional costs associated. We also receive daily requests to fix hacked websites from panicked owners who have been threatened by their hosting companies to fix their site or it will be taken down.

The Computer Geek now offers a service to monitor your website, update, patch, and upgrade your website as needed.

The Computer Geeks will manage the back-end updates and keep your Word Press up to date and secure from criminal hackers.

Call us today and ask about our Word Press Updating Services at the Computer Geek.
